We’ve camped here twice before. It’s not the closest campground to calgary but it is truely amazing. The campground is well maintained, and if you enjoy the mountain there is ample to keep you busy. In the summer months you can even spend time in Lower Kananaskis Lake, but it’s not warm.

For the mountain bikers, the Whiskey Jack trail is incredibly fun. It’s about a 45 minute climb and then a thrilling descent into the Pocaterra parking lot. For the truely fit, you can continue the climb to the fire lookout station for amazing views of the valley. Very much worth the extra effort.
