About
This small, forested site is perfect for tenting and fishing, boasting a spectacular view of the Babine Mountains and serene paddling/boating on a smaller and usually calm lake. This site has a small boat launch with 3 campsites and a day-use area. Access is prohibitive for large RVs and trailers due to rough and brushy access road with limited turn around room at the site. Cutthroat trout are abundant here and fishing is good for pan size trout, a popular and scenic spot to take kids/beginners fishing and have good success. There is typically high snow pack in this area so spring access to site can be later in the season and typically more challenging than other nearby sites due to heavy snow on access road. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here.
Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
