Muskeg River Falls

This trails offers a fairly short and easy hike that leads visitors to rewarding views of the relatively small but very beautiful Muskeg Falls. The trail ends at a gorgeous creek-side picnic spot with an excellent view of the falls. The trail length is 1.3km from the parking lot to the falls (2.6km round trip) through fairly flat terrain, however the final 200 metres of the trail does become quite steep. Caution is advised while making the final descent to the bottom of the falls.

From the community of Bear Lake, access the 200 (Davie-Muskeg) Road and proceed northwest for approximately 59 kilometres. The trailhead is located on the right side of the road at approximately KM 259.5. There is a parking area with ample parking for around 6 vehicles as well as a kiosk that displays an updated trail map.
