Spanning Spatsizi Plateau and the Skeena Mountains in northwestern B.C., Spatsizi Plateau Wilderness Park, is one of Canada’s largest parks. It offers visitors outstanding scenery and varied terrain. It is an excellent destination for backcountry hiking, photography, and nature study.
This park has significant ecological value and supports a large wildlife population. Surrounded by the park, Gladys Lake Ecological Reserve, provides a protected area in which wildlife and plants flourish. This allows for scientific research in an environment with very low human impact.
Parks and ecological reserves have different rules. For more information, see the Gladys Lake Ecological Reserve page.
