About
Stake Lake Recreation Site and the surrounding area, offers year-round recreation opportunity.
In summer, its higher elevation (over 1300m) can offer a reprieve from the heat and pleasant mountain biking and hiking throughout the trail networks.
In winter, trails are groomed for cross country skiing; there are also snowshoe trails and off-piste trails. Trail fees apply for the use of the networks when trails are groomed. See the Overlander Ski Club website for more.
Be aware of the Section 58 Motorized Closure.
ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES (for all Kamloops Recreation Sites).
Stake Lake Recreation Site is for day use only and no camping is allowed at any time. Nearby Lodgepole Lake Recreation Site and Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park offer camping.
Hiking and fishing opportunities can also be found at neighboring McConnell Lake Provincial Park.
