About
Located near Smithers, this small forested site with lake views is a popular boating and fishing lake. The access road is rough and narrow which may be prohibitive to larger RV/trailer units. Tanglechain Lake is a small, quiet lake with a small gravel boat launch. Cutthroat trout are the predominant fish species. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here.
Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
