Vinson Lake

The area is managed as a day use site but some overnight camping does occur despite the lack of tables and metal firerings. One outhouse on site. A short hike permits access to the lake but all small boats and canoes etc must be carried down. The recreation site is used primarily by fishermen.

Access is off of Highway 97C onto the Schrimpton Forest Service Road by exiting at the Loon Lake exit. Proceed south down this sometimes very busy forest industrial road, continue past the Buck Lake Recreation Site at 7.5 km for about another 4 kms and the parking lot like campsite will be on the right hand side.
